My Story

Kevin Caboor is an artist and designer based in Zeeland, the Netherlands. From his studio CABOOR, he creates art, objects, furniture and spaces through the eyes of a Former Child.

His work is rooted in curiosity, imagination and a fascination for colour, form and function. With a playful approach and a strong sense of craftsmanship, Caboor creates work that invites people to look at the familiar differently — with a little more wonder, freedom and imagination.

Opgroeien is onvermijdelijk. Helemaal volwassen worden is optioneel.

ENGLISH:

CABOOR — a world created through the eyes of a Former Child.

CABOOR is the artistic practice of Dutch artist and designer Kevin Caboor. Somewhere between art, design, colour, fantasy and craftsmanship, he creates objects, furniture, installations and spaces that bring imagination into the everyday.

At the heart of his work is a simple idea: growing up is inevitable, but losing your curiosity isn’t.

Caboor looks at the world with the eyes of a child — not by making childish work, but by holding on to the freedom to wonder, question and imagine that things could always be different. His work often starts with a feeling, an unexpected idea or a playful thought, and develops into colourful forms, surprising objects and immersive spaces.

From autonomous artworks and sculptural furniture to spatial installations and collaborations with brands, Caboor moves freely between disciplines. Function and fantasy can exist side by side. Serious craftsmanship can have a sense of humour. And a piece of furniture can simply make you smile.

The result is a playful universe where art and design meet — a world that invites people to pause, look again and experience the familiar in a different way.

Growing up is inevitable. Growing up completely is optional.
